Experience an inspiring gathering of art enthusiasts, alumni, and supporters in the heart of historic Overtown. The fundraiser will feature remarks from Dr. Vanessa Thaxton-Ward ‘85, Director of the Hampton University Museum, who will share insights on the museum’s rich history and how you can play a part in ensuring its vibrant future. The evening will also spotlight four Hamptonians who are showing work during Miami Art Week, Ronda Brown ‘95, BUCK! ‘95, Brandon Clarke ’09, Hassan Kalenga Paige ‘91, Benford Stellmacher ‘98, & Phillip Shung ‘96.
This special event aims to raise awareness and support for the Hampton University Museum — a cornerstone of Black art, history, and culture. Your participation helps preserve this national treasure and advance Hampton University’s mission of excellence. The first 35 tickets purchased will receive a limited edition (35) print of Brandon Clarke’s HBCU inspired piece. Additionally, five AP prints will be available for purchase at $200.
